Student Announcements for Friday, April 26, 2019

Good morning! These are your morning announcements.

If you have test prep books that you are finished using, please consider donating. A box is located outside of the library for donations and for students preparing for tests to take what they need.

The Birmingham Mayor’s Office and the local AmeriCorps volunteer office have teamed up to provide 40 paid summer associates with work over nine weeks beginning May 31 at Birmingham’s Division of Youth Services and Birmingham’s Department of Parks and Recreation. Those who apply for this position must be between the ages of 18-23. Interested applicants can learn more about the program and apply by clicking here: my.americorps.gov/mp/listing/viewListing.do?id=87717&fromSearch=true
Applications will be accepted now until next Friday, May 3.

ASFA Ambassador Applications are now available. If you are currently in the 9th, 10th or 11th grade and would like to be considered for this leadership and school service organization, please read more about this opportunity and review the application on the ASFA website under Student Announcements.
Due to a large number of current Ambassadors returning next year, only the first 20 applications submitted will be reviewed. The deadline to submit your application is 8 a.m. next Wednesday, May 1.
See Miss Jaronda Little, ASFA Ambassador Advisor in the Main Office, if you have questions or need more information after reading the information on the link. Current Ambassadors need not reapply.

Have a wonderful weekend!
