Student Announcements for Monday, May 6, 2019

Good morning! These are your morning announcements.
There is now 1 week and 4 days to graduation and 2 weeks before underclassmen exams.

Congratulations to ASFA’s Student Support Services Director Stuart Flynn, who has just accepted the position in his home state as the Dean of Academic Affairs at the Arkansas School for Math, Sciences & the Arts, located in Hot Springs, AR. His leadership and contributions to our school will certainly be missed. Mr. Flynn will move into that role over the summer, so he will not be leaving us until after school ends

The organization Pour les Filles will be hosting a gift basket raffle in the cafeteria today until Friday. First prize is called "The Big Kaboodle," and the second prize is a "Good Luck on Your Exams" study basket. Tickets for the raffle are $0.50. Pour les Filles will also be selling handmade bracelets priced at $1.00-$2.00. Donations will also be accepted. All of the proceeds will go to an organization called GAMS (Groupe pour l’Abolition des Mutilations Sexuelles) which is based in Belgium. Start the month the right way by helping us end FGM (female genital mutilation).

The PTSO store will be open Wednesday from 11 a.m. until noon.

Have a good week!
