Announcements For ASFA Students – Monday, March 9, 2020


Good morning!  These are your morning announcements.

 

Congratulations to ASFA’s Math & Science Department students who competed in Divisions B of the regional science Olympiad on February 22, 2020, at UAB.  The team of 15 students will advance to the state level competition in Auburn on March 28th where the top team will represent Alabama at the national competitions. Three other students (Jesse Seidel, Sahana Donti and Daniel Rozelle) contributed to different events as alternates and deserve to be recognized as well. Here is how the students performed on their events:

Twenty Math/Science seniors competed in the 2020 Central Alabama Regional Science and Engineering Fair on Saturday, March 7. They received many awards and recognition. Those who placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd will advance to the AL State & Engineering Fair (ASEF) on Friday, March 27.

If you plan to advertise events on campus that includes posting signs, you must first get approval of the signs from Mrs. Strickland or Mr. Marble in Student Support Services on the 3rd floor.  The signs must be approved for specific locations on our campus and will need to be put up with an approved tape that you can retrieve from them. 

 

The ASFA PTO Store has new merchandise and new hours: New hoodies with the ASFA logo are $45, sweatpants are $25 and T-shirts are $20.  The store is opened on the first and third Tuesday and Wednesday of each month from 3:15 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. Don’t forget to stop by.

 

 

Reminder to 11th  Graders & Faculty: ACT Test Info

ACT TEST DAY:

On tomorrow, Tuesday, March 10 all juniors will take the ACT. Students are to report directly to the BJCC North Meeting Room at 7:55am. Testing should conclude around 1:15pm. More details soon.
