All schoolwork has transitioned to remote learning. Summer camps have been canceled. Faculty and staff are available through email. Announcements For ASFA Students – Friday, March 13, 2020


Good morning!  These are your morning announcements.


Creative Writing seniors Hannah Bray and McKenzie Hosey will be reading from their work in the Lecture Hall today at 5:30 p.m. with a reception to follow in the lobby.


Auditions will be held on campus tomorrow. Please make sure that your space looks tidy and all backpacks, books and trash have been removed from the hallways. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.


Prom tickets are on sale starting this week. The prices are $50 during March and $65 during April and at the door.  Please see a member of the Junior Class Council to buy a ticket. (Cash only accepted.)


The workshop “A Parent’s Guide to Navigating College” planned for April 17 at UAB has been cancelled.


The ASFA PTO Store has plenty of new merchandise and expanded new hours: New hoodies with the ASFA logo are $45, sweatpants are $25 and T-shirts are $20.  The store is opened on the first and third Tuesday and Wednesday of each month from 3:15 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. Don’t forget to stop by.


The Beta Mu Nu Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity is hosting its annual  Talent Hunt competition on April 11 and is looking for students in the 9th-12th grade from the Birmingham Metro area to participate. The event will be held at The Worship Center, Bessemer Campus.  Winners are awarded recognition and may be given college scholarships.
