We encourage all interested students and their families to visit the Alabama School of Fine Arts. It is the best way to truly get a feel for the school, its community and its mission of intensive study for passionate students. To learn more about the school and its mission click here. To learn more about the application process click here.
We have 4 options for visiting the campus for prospective students:
Saturday, October 19th at 9, 10 & 11 AM
ASFA offers an annual Open House each fall for prospective students. At that time students and parents may take a tour of the school, meet the faculty, and learn about our application and audition process for the following school year. This is our most popular way to visit and offers the most in-depth admissions application information. No appointment is necessary. Each session starts in the ASFA Lobby promptly at 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.
If you are unable to make Open House, then a Tuesday Tour is a good choice. On designated Tuesdays at 3:30 pm, interested students and families meet with Jaronda Little, our Outreach & Admissions Officer, and learn about ASFA, the application process and take a tour of the school. NO reservation is necessary. Meet in the ASFA lobby a few minutes before 3:30 pm.
Tuesday Tours are available at 3:30 pm on these dates:
November 12, 2019
December 3, 2019
January 14 & 21, 2020
Note the Application deadline for the 2020-2021 school year is January 28, 2020.

A Spring Information Session
May 3, 2020
4:30 pm - 5:30 pm
Interested students and families meet with Jaronda Little our Outreach & Admissions Officer and learn about ASFA, the application process, our summer camps and take a tour of the school. Please note the information shared at this session will be about the admission for the 2020-2021 school year. Reservations are not necessary.
Prior to this event, guests are welcome to attend our spring dance performance at 2:30 pm. Admission for the performance is $5 for students and $10 for adults.
We encourage students who are seriously interested in ASFA to come to spend a school day here. Prospective students are paired with an ASFA student of a similar grade and specialty area and they get to see what a day in the life at ASFA is all about. To request a day to shadow click here.
